Southbroom Amateur Classic 2016
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you both for the wonderful Classic we have just completed. I am certain that a huge amount of effort was put in by the two of you as well as the Classic Committee before and during the event and this was greatly appreciated by Pat Cronin and myself. We were very lucky winners, but more importantly we enjoyed meeting and playing with the various pairs we played with during the week. The greens were perhaps a sterner test than many thought might be the case, but that is what golf is all about. There does seem to be a camaraderie amongst the Classic participants that takes some beating in any event in South Africa, and for this we have to say a big thank you to all the Organisers and Sponsors – well done.
The course was great and the catering and entertainment terrific – thank you to all involved in the event and we look forward to next year's Classic with much anticipation.
N1 City recently gave a large quantity of stock to the Western Cape SAGDB. Thank you to everyone involved for creating the opportunity to increase the game of golf.

"The Parkview Golf Club Recently hosted a 3 day fun event for the Junior Academy. Starting with teaching them about the fundamentals of the game. We set up custom par 3 competitions, putting competitions, 9-hole full course competition. We had a video session with them on the one day where we had pulled some tutorial videos about different aspects of the game. Also we had a quiz session and competition where the kids were put into teams of 6 and we asked them 30 questions covering all different areas of the game. Overall a lot of fun was had and it was really nice to get some great feedback afterwards from the parents and kids. And All the very best for 2016. Thank-you to The Pro Shop again for helping us with those prizes." - James Searson, Parkview Golf Director
Dear The Pro Shop
We just wanted to thank you again for your marvelous sponsorship of the 4 wedges for Our Annual Pros Day held last Saturday 19th Dec.
We had a capacity field of 140 members who all so enjoyed the day and we were able to give out not only a goodie bag to each player, but also a fabulous total of 70 prizes to all those who played well. (1st-12th in the Men's field & longest day & 1st-22nd in the Ladies field).
The positive vibe and great comments coming back from the players is very heart warming and part of what makes Southbroom so special.
This was only possible with your wonderful sponsorship and we so appreciate working with you over this last year.
We wish you all the best for 2016.
